...about time for an update!

hello out there.. not sure if anyone reads my blog anymore! but.. if you do-
I'm trying to make blogging one of my summer "bucket list" goals, so we'll see how this pans out! There are so many things I need to blog about to catch up on so I ought to get started!
Back in May I found out I got into the St. George Marathon! So I've started my training and I can say that the HOT summer weather isn't helping my goal of running outside. I also want to do the Top of Utah Marathon in September, a few weeks before STG, so if anyone is interested I'd love some running buddies!

A few months ago we also celebrated my good friend Kari's birthday...with stacked cupcakes, yummy!

A few days later, I ventured to Chicago to visit the fam and brought Sadie along with. I was able to watch David play several Tennis matches and Jordan at Swimming. We sure had a blast when my parents went away to celebrate their anniversary!

Upon my return back to Utah I started a CNA class, which I am still working on finishing! Hopefully this will make me more marketable for a summer job?!

In May Brian & I spent a night @ The Little America Hotel, it was so lovely! We just enjoyed hanging out, hot tubbing, and watching TV... even if it was sports center! We went to a little cafe for breakfast and all attempt for a photo op failed... (I wonder why?)

Anyhow... we've been enjoying the summer and all that it has to bring! I'll blog later about our June happenings!

Sorry it's all mumble jumbled.. that's how my brain works!

I'm pretty darn sure I have the best husband in the world! About a month ago Brian bought me a Yorkshire Terrier whom we named Sadie. She is simply adorable! She is so spunky and fun! We're grateful to have a little "practice" baby! Feel free to come meet her, she loves new friends!

...it seems as though the only time I update our blog is when I'm sick! I need to do something about this or I'm going to loose the last few that actually read this! I am so late on posting about Christmas but I figure better late then never! Here are some photos to highlight Christmas morning...

Santa brought me a new coat... with real fur! I'm so lucky, I can't wait to wear it outside!!.. oh wait, I already have and it's super warm!Here is our tree, it's in a sad state after not being watered for over a week while we were cruising in the Caribbean! oops..
I made this cute "Christmas countdown" this year.. my Mom gave it to me as a gift and I got to make it when I was in Chicago around Thanksgiving! Thanks Melissa for the adorable idea and for ordering everything, and great gift idea Mom!
Here is one of Brian's only smiling moments.. he prefers to make other silly faces. He got a ratchet set he had been looking for for a long time...

The remains, after taking the tree out, we had to dispose of it on Christmas Day because it was SO dead! That tends to happen when you don't water it!!
All in all we had a wonderful Christmas surrounded by friends and family, we were able to drive to New Mexico and spend time with my family.. unfortunately I forgot to take pictures.... I only have one, and it's a b&m classic...

We had a wonderful Christmas break, and unfortunately I am just sitting down now to write about it, mostly due to the fact that I have a bad cold and I am making myself "rest" by blogging. Anyhow, we left the week before Christmas and flew into San Juan to board our ship "The Serenade of the Seas" which took us to: Dominica, St. Kitts, St. Thomas, St. Croix, & Barbados! We had a blast kayaking, para sailing, swimming, sight-seeing, shopping and of course EATING! Here are some photos to highlight our week!

It seems as though I have trouble keeping up with the blogging world.. but I figured I would give a picture-less update and then start uploading photos later this week before Thanksgiving happens!

These last two months have been crazy busy! We decided to let Austin (Brian's younger brother) live with us for the school year, I started another semester at Utah State (and I found out this will be one of my last!), we did some home remodeling and had friends and family visit.

It has been great, but I haven't even had a spare moment to sit and write. To make this brief enough that it is still readable I will just bullet-point the highlights of the last few months!

Four Wheeling in Spanish Fork Canyon

For Austin's last weekend here we decided to head up Spanish Fork Canyon and go Four Wheeling. We had a great time.. we spent all day up there! The weather was perfect & the scenery unforgettable!

One of the best parts was going to Cabin Ridge and seeing all the trees Brian & Keith inscribed in the summers of '94, '95 & '96.

Oh and another funny thing... the engine's started to putter right as we were approaching our decent so we put them on reserve for a minute.. then coasted the entire way down! That was some good planning... or good luck because we forgot to bring a gas can!!

I have officially decided I am terrible at posting about my life, I'm not sure if it's because I am busy or just lazy; either way.. here goes.

I have so many pictures on my camera that I have not written about, and I am just now uploading them because I am in Logan at a Geography Workshop that requires me to take photos.. and I ran out of memory today! I won't go back too far but.. but i' ll write about a few things..

Brian and I went on a fun date to Trafalga before Austin (Brian's little brother) came to live with us in May. We got a "date card" that allowed us to play a game of mini golf, watch/ride the 3D roller coaster twice, get two bowls of "dip n' dots" and ride go karts for an hour... well I suppose we weren't supposed to be able to ride that long, but it was the end of the night & Brian is a great negotiator. Needless to say, we had a blast!He did win.. but not by a landslide!
wow.. those 3D glasses are amazing!!

Then we went to Chicago the first part of June for my birthday and Scott's Missionary Farewell talk. We had a wonderful time with my family and by ourselves in the city one day. We were able to be there over my actual birthday which was fun because EVERYONE was there!!

We flew back from Chicago with David (Megan's little brother) & Jake (David's friend) so we could take them to EFY the next day. I got to wake up early and get the boys fed before heading off to end up spending most of the day in Provo. We had a great time... except for the "glitch" at the Salt Lake City Airport! We had all proceeded through security and they asked to double check Jake's backpack. We weren't concerned because most of us have experienced such...but when they asked what he had that resembled a GUN I was questioning the heck out of him.... could it be a blow-dryer or a Nintendo game system.. NO.. it was an Air-soft Gun! They freaked out upon pulling out a replica of a real gun. He reassured them that it didn't work (hence the duck-tape!). Regardless they filed a police report and almost called airport security. Luckily we made it to our gate just as they were boarding! Next time.. I will be thoroughly monitoring the packing process!

After that rendezvous I picked the boys up (this being Saturday).... and I suppose I should preface that I had to wake up at 4:30am to get ready! We left the house around 6am to head to Provo. We picked the boys up and sped off to the airport. I was worried about security and two teenage boys roaming the airport again so I raced in with them and took them to their gate. Things went smoothly this time.. and I ran back to meet Brian at the car so we could speed off to Logan for our good friends' wedding! Luckily again we made it safely and on time.

The day was perfect... even though the morning started quite early, we had to wait an hour for the wedded couple to exit the Temple and it rained...

After that busy week, my mom was able to join us because she was taking Scott out to the MTC. I said my goodbyes to Scott over some homemade breakfast the morning he was to report to the Mission Training Center in Provo. He looked fabulous.. and I would post some photos of that morning but my Mom has them, so maybe later! Upon returning that evening, my Mom started to feel sick, but as usual we girls sat and talked and enjoyed some time together instead of going to sleep at a decent hour. Needless to say... Mom woke up feeling as it a boulder had landed on her. She was in bed ALL DAY, which sabotaged our plans for shopping and girl time.. but I was grateful to be able to take care of her and sit and chat.. because she has done that countless times for me. The following day she was feeling better so we drove around a little and enjoyed her last day. After dropping her off at the airport the next morning, I came home and started feeling gross.. and I ended up with the same dreaded "summer cold".Brian & Austin @ Los Hermanosat least we made it out to Los Hermanos on Friday night before Mom left!

Our last week in June was pretty uneventful, and our fourth of July was spent with some good friends. I finished off the school year on July 3rd and was happy that my return wouldn' t have to be until the end of August! The second week in July was spent catching up and cleaning. The third week I prepared and executed a "Craft Night" for the ladies at church. We had a blast chatting, eating and crating. After that was over, I prepared for the Baby Shower I threw Jodi (see previous post).

The next day my Mother-in-Law came for the weekend. I spent that morning feverishly cleaning up and organizing my craft/guest room for her to sleep in. It took me until 10:45pm.. but it looked DANG good! While Mom Wilson was here, we hung out and ate pizza, talked, went to Cowabunga Bay (a waterpark), and the Spanish Fork Rodeo. What fun... we only wish she didn't live so far away....if you can believe it, this is the best of three photos that night! (hopefully a family photo to come!)

As for this week.. I am in Logan up at Utah State University taking my last required course for my Social Studies Teaching Electives. It is on Utah Geography and we have been taking field trips everyday and documenting with photos.. i would highly recommend this workshop to anyone. I am taking it along with Brian's older brother.. which also helps!

...it's a Boy! baby shower for Jodi

This evening I was able to throw a baby shower for my good friend Jodi.. we had a wonderful time. The food was great, the company even better and the presents obviously the best! I am grateful to have such wonderful friends, thank you to all those who made this night possible. We are anxiously awaiting Marshall's arrival.. hopefully close to his due date!

I've decided to try and go "green" as much as possible... not for the sake of some government agenda but because I feel as though a responsible use of our resources is in order. I found these adorable bags online... that can be used for groceries, or just running around, I think I'll order a few.This bag and similar ones can be found at prettygreenbag.com

I am also trying out some new "Eco-friendly" cleaning supplies which are not only better for the environment but for our health..

My last decision is to kick the "water bottle" habit I have... it can be likened to that of a baby with a binkie.. I just don't want to let go. I refuse to drink out of the tap... but I am realizing that my 100+ plastic water bottles per month are a little too wasteful in comparison to using a Stainless Steel or Plastic Reusable. So I thought I would try this one... or something similar.. has anyone tried one of these?

We had our good friends over tonight bid them farewell for the summer.. they are headed to New York & won't be back until September! I spent the afternoon with Ali, we went to the Temple, then shopping at Harmon's, a quick stop at Roberts Crafts and then home to make dinner for our hubbies....

We made some delicious Potato, Cheddar & Bacon Soup and while the boys were playing Madden, we played cards. They finally decided we had the better idea, so they joined us for a few games of Rook & Skip-Bo! We had a great time with them and will miss them when they are gone... hopefully we'll be able to make a trip to NY to see them!

Sunday Dinner

Last night we were able to go to a family dinner in Bountiful at Grandma & Grandpa Simms.. it was so fun! We missed Luke & Natalie and Steve & Lauren but it was wonderful to get together for a great dinner and play games! We also got to celebrate Connor's 11th Birthday (which will officially happen this Saturday!) He was so excited and so were we! The Benich's also gave talks in church... Jamie, John & Connor and Nathan.... so the younger boys gave us there talks (which were really amazing for such little guys) and Jamie shared part of hers.
I made homemade rolls in the morning to bring, which turned out to be much more work than I had anticipated as I forgot to put the "spill lid" on the Bosch mixer before adding the potatoes to the liquids! Needless to say, the Yeast, Milk, Oil, Water and Sugar FLEW everywhere possible in the kitchen! It took me 20 minutes to get it cleaned up and I started at it again... but they got rave reviews so it was worth it...

..it's been a long time coming

Thanks to some "gentle" prodding I am now back at the blog.. hopefully more consistently than I seem to have been in the past few months.
This winter has been quite busy for us with traveling, out-of-town guests, friends and family we haven't managed to do the usual skiing and snowmobiling outings.. and now that the weather is getting warmer we are losing our chances in the snow. But we have been grateful for the sudden change in the weather pattern because we were able to get out and go four-wheeling on Saturday, but now the snow is back so we have put it back in the garage for a while.

This week on the playground was somewhat of a "miniature hurricane"! I didn't know the wind could blow that hard... but it seems to have died down now that we got our storm so tomorrow should be relatively calm! Anyhow, work is great, but I will be so glad to be on the receiving end of the "teacher helps" when I finally get my degree next year. I have two more semesters before I graduate now and I can't wait!

I suppose I need to post just about all the pictures I have on my camera because I have been so bad at this whole blogging scene.. so here goesHere is our delightful Christmas tree... all "decked out"Austin (Brian's little brother) on Christmas morning.. These were not homemade but... they are dangerously delicious. Mom Wilson sent them back with Keith for us at Christmas time and we have been waiting to eat them because we knew once we did... we would be hooked. If you have never had Corky's Ribs from Memphis TN.. you serioulsy need to look into it!
This is the wreath I put up today for Spring... after I finally took down my evergreens from Christmas (I was getting embarrased) but I couldn't find where I had stored my wreaths... but I thought I would share some of my "front door" with those of you who live too far away to ever see it.

I think this piece of art speaks for itself... but if not, my mom is amazing! I picked out this fabric many months ago and brought it to Chicago in hopes that we would be able to sew it.... needless to say... my mom can work wonders with a sewing machine and two days time! It will serve as my "grocery" bag (which means I won't be able to buy too much... Brian was thrilled!)

Abide with Me...

We sincerely apologize for not keeping up to date on our blog, but things have been hectic in our household for the last month or so.
On November 19, 2008 in the early morning our Nana (my Dad's mother) passed away. This was a sudden and heartbreaking loss for the entire family as our families our very close to one another. She was a angel, the sweetest, most charitable person you could know. She was so inspiring and took great pride in watching and helping her children and grandchildren succeed.
She was amazing, and she will never be forgotten, her memory will be forever etched on our hearts.
We love you Nana!

I know it takes me about a decade to get anything posted, but at least it gets up here! We drove to Aunt Julie's for a great dinner & fun night! We celebrated Grandma's Birthday, as well as Derrall, Luke & of course Brian! We had a wonderful time!Apparently Brian wasn't ready for his photo debute...Now he's ready... to take goofy pictures!

So, I started my job a few weeks ago at Tai Pan and I love it! I get to sample all the Fudge and Gelato I want.. which tastes so yummy, but isn't quite as fun to work off! But the best part of working at TPT isn't the food, it's the amazing people I get to work with! Within the first fews days... well actually on my first day I met Alicia and Sterling who mange V's Chocoaltes inside TPT. They are so fun! Brian and I have spent just about everyday with them since we met... we went bowling on Saturday with some other friends and we had a blast! Pretty much... to say it simply.. Ali and I are like "peas in a pod".... sorry for the disturbing photo... we had taken so many and it took SO long for Sterling to get a photo taken... that I just gave up!My other cute friend is Allie, who works with my at the Fudge Shoppe! We have way too much fun together! We sit and talk and eat for hours!

....so can I just say that I am SO glad this semester is coming to a close! I am sick of driving to Logan so much! I think I will still be driving next semester, but only for one night class! So I will be able to spend more time with Brian and working with my cute new friends at TPT.

I know I should reply to all the tags I have gotten recently as well.. but that will happen later...

oh, one more thing, I did a Christmas Card Workshop on Saturday and my cards ARE ADORABLE! I will post a picture when I get back home to them!

Does it get better than that? I decided to put this little "treasure" to the test.. and I have had it for almost 2 months! It looks great, and I never have to water it! This is definitely NOT the plant for the "martha stewart" wanna-be; way too easy to care for!!

Last Weekend Brian & I went up to Logan for Jenna's wedding! It was absolutely beautiful! Although it was pretty cold and raining/snowing outside, everything was just perfect. Jenna and James were so happy!

My family came to visit us the first week in October and we sure had a great time being together, I just wanted to post a few photos from our night at Buca di Beppo..almost a smile...

Oh deer is right! For those of you who drive home late at night from a date with your spouse... you will understand.. most of the time we are just non chalantly driving through the country-sde, but a few weeks ago, as we were lollygagging home... aimlessly staring out into the dark and holding hands... talking about plans for the furture... we were SUDDENLY surpirsed to find BAMBI on the front right side of the car! Let me tell you.. it was quite the shocker... Brian slammed on the brakes as fast as he could, but because of the contruction and the dark road.. the deer ran right into the front side of the car... needless to say; upon attempting to exit the passenger door to check on the deer, I found it would not open... so I have spent the better part of a week and and half climbing over Brian's seat or sitting in the back... which unfortunately he enjoys WAY too much... but enough said.. we had an eventful date night to say the least... here are the best shots from that night...

...a Wonderful Wilson Weekend

We have had a wonderful week! Brian's mom came into town on Wednesday & we were able to spend time with her & the boys on Thursday & Friday! We went "skeet" shooting, and I have yet to get any photos from that.. so you will get to see those later. After shooting, we sat around and talked while Craig (Brian's brother) took Kade & Blake on "Kate" (Brad's adorable horse). We drove to the Bluebird and had a fabulous dinner... and of course some "famous" Chocolates for dessert. On our way home we took a pit-stop to go on the "Go-Karts". When I found out that I wasn't going to be able to rid with Brian (as a passenger) because all the Karts were taken.. I was freakin' out a little.. but riding alone proved to be GREAT fun! Thanks to Keith & Brian! ha ha ha! Anyhow, we drove home after our fun night & I woke up early to go to the Scrapbook Expo with my good friend Melanie! We had a TON of fun! We spent too much money... as usual, but we got some great products to enhance our crafting! All in all, we had a wonderful week.
Upon arriving home with all these Scrapbooking goodies, I decided to get going on my "Long-Awaited" projects. I covered a Book of Mormon as well as a Journal for my little sister. I will be selling both of these items (not teh actual ones shown, but the same books with your choice of colors... let me know what you think, and if you would be interested in purchasing one! Last week I finally ordered a desk for my office! I have been using Brian's... but it is just getting way too cluttered, so... I decided to do something about it!

Brian & I just assembled the desk this afternoon, I hung the Making Memories Scrapbook Shelf & then made the White Tin Magnet Board a few days ago.. I know what you're thinking.. I am SO thrifty... well, wait until you see my work up close...

Anyhow! I love the new Office/Guest Bedroom! My favorite colors... Red, Black & White!

can i just say... this jacket is ADORABLE! i want one so bad, but they are $78! they are from Impact Fitness Wear out of Sugar House. these cute Icon jacket, comes in Black, White, Coffee,& Natural! i think this is the solution to me not working out, if i get cute clothes i will have to go running to show them off!.. we'll see if that excuse will work on Brian this time.. probably not! looks like i will be saving my pennies for a while!

long lost Wilson clan...

I know it seems as though we have gotten lost in cyber-space, but really we have just been SO busy! We spent a few days in Chicago for a "Fiesta" my parents had at their house to celebrate Lauren & Steve getting married, as well as Scott & Jordan's school graduations! Congrats to all!
Anyhow, we flew to Chicago & we had a wonderful time partying, seeing movies (The Dark Knight), and our highlight.. going to Six Flags! Brian & I love roller coasters, and every time we visit home we never seem to have the time to go ride any! So we took David & Jordan and spent an entire Saturday there. Needless to say, we will never go on a Saturday again! We rode 5 big rides and several smaller ones, but we didn't quite get our fill.. guess we will have to go again when we come back! .... and I must tell you about our 20 hour trek home.. and NO we did not sit in the airport that long.. we drove back to Utah with Scott who started his first year at Utah State!! GO AGGIES!!!... anyhow, we took some incredible pictures of the sunset as we were driving in WY!!After the great trip was over.. we had to think about getting me back to school, which meant either Logan or Tooele. We chose for me to attend at the University, which is quite a drive, but well worth the mileage. All of my classes are fantastic! NO textbooks!!! There are course readers, but I am grateful I don't have to lug HUGE books back and forth! I have had the chance to stay with my girlfriend Annie.. one of my bridesmaids and former room-mate who still lives in Logan.. we have had a blast together!
... I almost forgot to tell you, I had to say goodbye to Abby..my best friend who left from the Mission Training Center on August 19. She is reporting to Paraguay Asuncion on October 20th to complete her mission! We are SO proud of her, but will miss her greatly! Thanks Abby for all the cute clothes and shoes you are letting me "baby-sit" while you're gone!
We have had the opportnity to see our family & friends from Logan a few times.. we went bowling last week with Katie & Brad and their adorable boys!..

Also.. on Friday night I hosted a Scentsy Candle Party... we had a great turnout and we all had a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone that came & made the night so wonderful!

We hope you all are having an enjoyable September.. we sure are looking forward to the cooler weather as well!!

..............i have so much to write about because I haven't posted in forever! first off, I told you I would post some pictures from my trip in Logan... so this one was taken at Olive Garden with Annie & Abby (for Annie's early birthday)...after my week in Logan I came home & we went to the Lehi Roundup Rodeo with our good friends Matt & Jodi, we had a blast even though not that many cowboy rode the bull for the whole eight seconds! (For those of you who are not "Rodeo" friendly, a cowboy must stay on the bull for eight seconds to even get a score).

Then for the fourth of July we went to Jackson Hole WY to see my Dad's parents, we had a wonderful time but I didn't take any pictures while we were there, my sister-in-law Lauren did though, so i'll post those... we went tubbing down the Snake River while we were there and we had a blast, I did get pretty banged up from all the rocks and branches but it was still a great time. oh.. and how could I forget the temperature of the water had to be below ZERO!Eating our "snow cones" @ the Grand Teton Music Festival on the 4th

Yesterday, Matt & Jodi came over for Jodi's 24th Birthday celebration! We ate dinner together & I made a Chocolate Ganche cake, which I just had to photograph.... so you can look at it and imagine just how good it would taste.. . without the calories. Matt & Brian have just about the same personality so getting both boys to smile in the same picture was practically impossible!the delicacy... Me & Jodi (the birthday bash)

I have also been spending my extra time.... since it is summer... decorating my house, so this is just a little something I put up in our bedroom.....and last but certainly NOT least, I have decided to start working with an Athletic Personal Trainer to loose some weight and get ready for my second marathon... so I will keep you posted on how things are going in terms of my weight loss goals and such... today was such a hard workout!! We worked on quads, hamstrings, back, abs, and obliques, I just about died... and now I can barely walk! One awesome thing about this whole regiment is that I got a new Polar Heart Rate Monitor & Watch, I love them! Anyhow... I won't bore you with details, but that is what is new with us!!

...yesterday I made my way home from a lovely trip in Chicago! When I woke up my mom had a HUGE sign that said "Happy 22nd Birthday Megan!" and balloons were everywhere, she made me breakfast and then I opened my "big" birthday gift which was a 7-cup Cuisinart Food Processor! I have been wanting one since I got married!!!! (Thank you SO much mom & dad)... everything at the airport was uneventful.. except the fact that we had to pay an extra $25 for my "2nd" bag (I can't believe they are charging for our bags now!)... anyhow, Brian picked me up from the airport, and we spent the afternoon together and went to Red Robin for dinner & dessert later that night... I also received a wonderful gift! A Crepe maker!, as many of you know, I am an avid crepe maker, so one of these babies is going to come in quite handy! (thank you Brian)... i got so pampered for my birthday.. I feel so fortunate to have such wonderful family, a darling husband and "dashing" friends.
At about 9pm, we had "cupcakes" instead of cake.. and Craig (Brian's younger brother) & I shared in the birthday festivities because his birthday was the next day (being today)....Happy 23rd Craig!!

Brian left last Sunday for a business trip in Michigan, so I decided to spend the week in Chicago with the family... mostly because my younger brother Scott was graduating from highschool. We just got home from the big night and we are exhausted! There was no air condidtoning in the Northwestern University gym.. so we were scorching during the comencement ceremony! Scott conducted the entire thing... and he gave a speech! He was awesome! What a talented brother I have!Me, Scott & DavidMom & The GradDad & The Grad

After the long day, we went to The Cheesecake Factory with Nana & Pop Rule.. and then headed home so Scott could get to his party...

...as for Brian, he spent today hoping different planes! He boarded the plane in Lansing at 3:00pm and still hasn't arrived in Salt Lake... he got to see three different states today! Oh... lucky, lucky boy!

....well, this is everything to report from today! I will let you know how the rest of the week goes in Chicago.. then I am homebound on thursday!...

These past few weeks have been very eventful for our little family, my parents visited, Steve got married and we celebrated our ONE year anniversary! It was wonderful to have the Rule family here, and to have Jordan & David stay with us for a few days! The wedding was beautiful, and we all had a "dashing" time!

We had a wonderful week and an even better weekend! Brian's mom came into town and spent part of the week with us, we had wonderful food and the company was fabulous of course! This past weekend we went to Logan for Keith's college graduation at Utah State!

I bet you are wondering what has been happening in the lives of the Wilson Family? A few weekends ago, Brian surprised me and took me to a Bee's Baseball game (the Salt Lake City Minor League).. and then out to dinner with our good friends. We ate at a delicious place in Salt Lake.. I can't remember what it is called, but when I remember I will let you know! Big Cheese.... my favorite way to smile

On Monday afternoon I came down with the Stomach flu and it has kept me down and out since then.. I made myself run errands yesterday because I was getting so stressed out.. I went to just about everywhere, but I am pretty sure the thing that "cured" my stomach flu was the Pizza from "Smokehouse" in Orem... it is my absolute favorite, .... or maybe it was because I hadn't eaten in 2 days!!

This is quite a great day... pretty much because it is the last day of classes this semester! So awesome.. now I only have 2 more semesters to go! I can't wait to have my own classroom!

Well.. I had better go pay attention to my professor!!

Easter Sunday @ Grandmas

My darling husband made me a wonderful dinner last night because I was so exhausted from work! I took a two hour nap when I got home! After dinner I started feeling really sick... my stomach felt like it was going to explode so Brian went and got me some Coke just in case the Chicken we ate had gone bad (it had been in the fridge over the weekend). I fell back asleep and he carried me to bed and pulled the covers over me. He is SO sweet. This morning when I woke up I had a headache and still felt pretty nasty, but needless to say I went to work and now I am home trying to rest... but I am blogging instead! Go figure!

Last weekend we went up to Jackson Hole, WY to visit the fam, who came in from Chicago to Ski.We had a blast, but unfortunately I did not take any pictures! I know that sounds so ridiculous for me!!

The Weekend before that was Easter, and we spent the day at Grandma's! My cute cousin Lindsey got engaged!

And among other things we had "Fresh Squeezed" Lemonade (my personal favorite), we had two easter egg hunts,

I accepted a teaching position at Saratoga Shores Elementary, in the Alpine School District.
I teach one of their "Speciality Programs" geared towards "positive exposure" for at-risk students.
I teach every Tuesday-Thursday in the morning and the afternoon. I am still a class room assistant at Monte Vista Elementary as well..
I sure love my new job, and I am excited for the next five weeks of this incredible program.
As for a complete update of my life... I am three semesters away from graduating... which means I will have my own classroom in the August 2009 school-year!! I am still a ward missionary with my darling husband, and I have decided I am done with giving a talk in church for at least 2 years!! (I gave a 25 minute talk 2 weeks ago!)
Well.. I will post pictures later so you can see what I really do with my spare time, and I will post about Easter Sunday... we sure had a blast!!

This past weekend was a blast, I spent the afternoon on Saturday with my girlfriend Rachel and her adorable daughter Lily, I got some cute things to decorate my living room with, I will post pictures when it is complete. Brian spent all day Saturday with his brother Craig, helping him work on his car! When he finally cam home at 7:30pm, we went out to eat at Black Angus. Sunday was a little more relaxing, we had Stake Conference, and then we just sat around and slept the entire afternoon. Craig & Emily came to visit Sunday night as well, and she gave us one of her amazing paintings of the Savior. Last night we went to the Jazz game, we had a blast! I even got lucky enough to be on the "jumbo-tron", also known as, the huge TV in the middle of the arena!

We decided to go out on thursday night, because we are taking a "sick day" tomorrow to go snowmobiling. Since it seems to be getting warmer everyday.. we figured this was probably our last chance to get some good sledding in!
Tonight Brian took me to Red Robin, we had some Strawberry Lemonade, Spinach Dip & an Amazing Burger... after our dinner we stopped at Harmon's for a few things.... Brian has made up his mind that the only way he will go grocery shopping is if he can ride in the "motorized" cart....

So.. I figured these pictures were somewhat self explanatory.. he kept running into me (of course on purpose!)

What a wonderful Tuesday! Both Brian & I had great days at work, and I was able to interview for a job at Saratoga Shores Elementary. I got the position!! I will be teaching a "Shark Nets" program... I'll keep you up to date when I have more info!
When I got home from my interview, I found Brian in the garage so I decided to make us some Chili & join him. We only stayed out for about an hour making a shelf to "house" Brian's tools and things. I am not sure I ended up being much help.. but at least I am good company!

...today was a much better day than than tuesday, that is for sure! I decided it was too much to be working two jobs while trying to go to school full time! So I quit my nanny job today.. which relieved a lot of stress! Needless to say... our little family is doing really now despite this crazy week!

Brian has been a work horse.. helping out his two younger brothers.. .I think he feels like he is still in school sometimes... because everyone is always asking for his advice.. .must be good anyway!

oh my gosh!... I got the cutest calendar today at Office Max.. I love it! I will post a picture of it so you can relish in its "adorable-ness".. well, I am off to bed!

....what a week

Yesterday had to have been one of the worst days this year... as of yet! Work went really smoothly in the morning, and I figured the afternoon would go something like that... but that is the opposite of what actually transpired! Needless to say, I am pretty sure one job is plenty of work... but I decided somewhere in my "little" brain that I needed to do more with my life.. so I accepted a position as a Nanny for a family in Lehi. I only work two days a week in the afternoons... but the last 2 times I have been watching them have been the worst so far! There are three children, twins who are almost four, and a 2 1/2 year old boy. ALL THREE are NOT potty trained! Oh joy... and I little one stopped taking naps yesterday... it was not good... the kids were throwing toys at each other, dumping the crayons all over the floor, drawing on the table, they broke a dining room table chair, and decided to take the legs of it and start hitting things around the house... then the two year old went upstairs while I was trying to clean up the mess they made elsewhere and he threw a trash can from the banister... it broke too! Joy to the world.. no one will listen to me! It was wretched.. oh did I forget to tell you I clean ed out poop from the little girls underwear and changed the little boys nasty diaper! .. .I decided to let Sarah walk around with just underwear on... because with her track record.. .she would poop again in the afternoon,so I figured it would be one less thing to change! So.. there is more to tell, but then I would feel as though I was venting way too much... and that isn't what I want my blog for! I am posting pictures of my rotten day...

Today went much better than yesterday, probably because I decided I couldn't do two jobs anymore! I figured I have enough stress in my life being a wife, sister, daughter, student, and teachers aide, ... oh and a ward missionary! I'll keep you posted as to how my new found "free time" goes!

Snow Days...

We have had a great two weeks! They have been busy but very fun! Last weekend Keith came and spent the weekend at our house and went snowmobiling with Brian on Saturday... pictures to follow. This past weekend we went to Logan with our good friends Adam & Jen. The Aggies had a big win, and we truly enjoyed being back in the Spectrum because we don't get to go very often! Saturday I spent the day with my future "sister", and my two best friends Annie & Abby. We went shopping, out to eat, and of course got our nails done!
Tonight we hosted a Family Home Evening for the young married couples in our ward who do not have any kids. It turned out great, although we only had 2 couples show we had a great time talking, eating and sharing the "stories of our lives"!
